Our new home!

At the beginning of August we made the move down to Salt Lake City. Boy do we have TONS of stuff!! After a lot of hassle and frustration, we finally got moved in to the Gateway apartments. Compared to our last apartment, this one is a lot brighter, more open, and we like it a lot better.  It seems to be the same size but there is less storage space so we ended up putting a lot of our stuff in the family storage unit (which lucky for us, there is a family storage unit). But although there is less storage space, our bedroom is about twice the size of the last one and the bath room is about 3 times the size as our last one. Everything is finally put away and I got the last few things hung up on the wall today.  Here are some pictures, I tried to take the ones that would give you the best idea what it looks like...
So far we have loved living downtown.  It has been such a great location.  The first week we were down here, after we were done unpacking, we just spent our time walking around Salt Lake and getting a feel for the area.  We are only about a 15 min. walk from Temple Square and have gone up there quite a few times now.  It's so neat just being able to walk there.  Our ward I guess actually has stake conference in the conference center!

We've been to our ward for the past 3 weeks now and really like it.  The people are so friendly and welcoming.  Our bishop is really funny and jokes a lot.  Today we had combined relief society and priesthood.  To give you a feel for our ward, I will tell you how our bishop described it.  There are so many new couples in the ward, so he had us stand and asked how many people have met us yet.  Then he said these are the grandchildren or for some of you great grandchildren, so all you grand parents, talk to your grandchildren.  And all you grandchildren, talk to your grandparents! It was pretty funny.  So basically there are two groups in our ward; those 30 and under and then those 60 and older! They even split sunday school into two classes: the young class and the old class.  But they are so nice and we really like it there!

The location of our apartment is really perfect.  Nate takes the train up to school everyday and it only takes him about 25-30 min.  I found out that I can also just jump on the train and take it to work which worked out very well since just the other day my car died!
